Walking with the Lord in Seasons of Loneliness
If you read our blog post about loneliness last week, you read about how loneliness is actually a very common feeling and emotion, especially among women in the college and post-grad seasons. When these seasons come, it’s important to lean into the Lord. When we feel lonely, the Lord wants us to lean into Him and find our comfort and rest in His presence. It’s important to remember that God does not want us to feel punished or isolated. Instead, he is removing distractions from our lives to provide us with the capacity to fully lean into Him. Isaiah 41:10 says “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”.
What This Means For Us
In times where we feel isolated or alone, we are called to lean into the Lord! He wants to walk with us in these seasons, and he wants to spend this uninterrupted time together with us. 1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you”. There is good news for us— we don’t have to carry the burden of loneliness alone! The Lord cares for us. He will carry the burden for us, and walk with us through all seasons— good or bad. So next time you are walking through a season of loneliness, remind yourself to lean into the truth that the Lord has for us: we are NOT alone! The Lord’s got you, and He is using this season for good. Use this time to lean into the Lord’s faithfulness, and trust in His plans for you in this season and your future.
Happy Monday, KAIO Fam! We hope you have an amazing week! 🌟
